What: Noë!  Noë!  Baroque music for Advent and Christmas.  Charpentier's Messe de Minuit incorporates ten old French carol tunes from the 16th and 17th centuries. Bach's famous Cantata 140 was written in 1731 as music to be included in a church service. Despite its simplicity, it's now one of his most famous thanks to its inclusion of a well-known tune - 'Sleepers wake'.
